Quality Control Inspector - Warehouse

About the role

A detail-oriented Warehouse QC Inspector / Safeguard is sought to ensure that raw materials, packaging materials and stored products comply with company quality and food safety requirements during receiving, storage and dispatch. The role covers incoming material inspection, supplier document checks, warehouse conditions, material status control, traceability and food safety compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect incoming raw and packaging materials and check condition, cleanliness, integrity, quantity, lot numbers, expiry dates and labelling.
• Verify supplier documents such as COAs, specifications, food safety certificates, declarations and approvals.
• Control materials as Released, On Hold or Rejected so that unreleased materials cannot be used.
• Monitor GMP, GHP, allergen segregation, pest control and housekeeping standards, and report temperature and humidity deviations.
• Check stock rotation (FEFO/FIFO), expiry control, pallet condition, segregation and traceability.
• Report damaged, contaminated, expired or non-conforming materials and coordinate corrective actions.
• Maintain QC inspection records and escalate food safety, supplier, material or documentation issues to the QA/Food Safety team.
• Support supplier and material approval follow-up by keeping technical and food safety documents valid and up to date.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Safety, Nutrition, Quality Assurance, Agriculture, Chemistry or a related field.
• Previous experience in quality control, warehouse quality, incoming inspection or the food industry is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail in spotting discrepancies in materials, labels, documentation and storage conditions.
• Good communication with QA, Warehouse, Supply Chain, Procurement and suppliers.
