Project Coordinator – Non‑Formal Education (Beirut)

About the role

The NFE Project Coordinator will play a pivotal role in delivering non‑formal education programmes in Lebanon, including the Youth Connect initiative. Working on the ground in Beirut, the coordinator ensures seamless programme delivery through strong partner collaboration, robust financial oversight, and effective project management.

Key responsibilities

• Manage vendor and supplier relationships, holding them accountable for service delivery while maintaining effective working relationships.
• Plan, monitor and report on project budgets, expenditures and forecasts, ensuring compliance with British Council financial policies.
• Coordinate data collection, reporting, compliance, grants administration, procurement and monitoring activities to meet funder requirements.
• Organise events, training sessions and programme activities, contributing to diversity mainstreaming across NFE and Cultural Engagement programmes.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with clients, partners and stakeholders to support programme objectives.
• Promote an inclusive, anti‑racist culture by embedding Equality, Diversity and Inclusion principles across projects.

Required profile

• Degree or proven experience in one of the British Council’s portfolio areas (Arts, Education, English).
• Demonstrated experience in a supporting role on programmes or projects, including administrative and financial administration.
• Good understanding of basic monitoring and evaluation concepts and their relevance to project management.
