Product Design Engineer – Mechanical & Sheet Metal

About the role

As a Product Design Engineer you will work closely with leadership, product and technology teams to create innovative physical products and custom metal structures. The position blends mechanical design, sheet‑metal fabrication, supplier management and manufacturing execution, taking concepts through prototyping to full production.

Key responsibilities

• Design functional, durable, visually appealing products and metal structures, defining dimensions, materials, components and finishes.
• Develop detailed 3D CAD models, manufacturing drawings and Bills of Materials, optimizing for durability, cost and manufacturability.
• Identify and evaluate sheet‑metal manufacturers, request quotations, coordinate production timelines and ensure quality standards.
• Manage prototype development, inspect prototypes, resolve defects and work directly with manufacturers to meet quality, functionality and budget requirements.
• Collaborate with technology teams to integrate electronic components and ensure mechanical designs meet technical requirements.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in mechanical product design, sheet‑metal fabrication or product engineering.
• Proven ability to manage projects from concept through design, prototyping and manufacturing.
• Strong problem‑solving, communication and project‑management skills.
