Service Engineer – Heavy Equipment

About the role

The Service Engineer will provide advanced technical support for heavy‑equipment fleets, diagnosing and repairing hydraulic, electrical, diesel‑engine and power‑train systems. The role involves using OEM diagnostic tools, interpreting technical documentation, and delivering detailed engineering reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Automotive, Electrical/Electronics, Heavy‑Equipment Engineering or related field; diploma holders with extensive experience may be considered.
• 5–12+ years of heavy‑equipment service/engineering experience, preferably with SANY or other leading OEMs, and experience in UAE/GCC construction, mining or related sectors.
• Proven ability to handle complex breakdowns, root‑cause analysis, warranty investigations and equipment commissioning.

Required skills

• Advanced hydraulic system diagnosis, pressure/flow testing and circuit interpretation.
• Advanced electrical/electronic troubleshooting, including wiring diagrams, sensors, actuators, controllers and CAN‑bus systems.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, fuel, air, cooling, lubrication, exhaust after‑treatment and engine‑management systems.
• Power‑train expertise covering transmissions, axles, final drives, swing systems and related controls.
• Proficiency with OEM diagnostic software, electronic service tools and machine‑monitoring systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, hydraulic schematics, electrical drawings, specifications and service bulletins.
• Root‑cause analysis and failure‑analysis capability, using measured technical evidence to validate diagnoses.
• Understanding of equipment reliability, preventive maintenance and condition‑monitoring principles.
• Strong technical report writing and engineering documentation skills.
