Power Systems Engineer I – Grid Modeling

About the role
Join Electric Power Engineers (EPE) to help design the grid of the future. As a Power Systems Engineer I you will support generation, load and energy‑storage interconnection studies for renewable projects, gaining hands‑on experience with advanced power‑system modeling tools.
Key responsibilities
- Develop one‑line diagrams, steady‑state, short‑circuit and dynamic plant models for solar, wind and battery storage projects.
- Provide technical support throughout the interconnection application process, from filing to commercial operation.
- Conduct electrical system design studies and deliver recommendations that meet codes, standards and utility requirements.
- Collect and organize data for preliminary analyses that support senior engineering staff.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s degree a plus).
- 0‑2 years of relevant experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
Required skills
