Application Engineer – Technical Support

About the role

The Application Engineer provides technical support for product design, calculations, and documentation. Working under senior engineers, the role bridges design and production to ensure projects meet specifications and client expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing design calculations, 2D and 3D drawings, and layout plans in coordination with draftsmen.
• Support the preparation of Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and participate in design revisions for standard and customized products.
• Analyse project technical requirements, prepare detailed technical studies and proposals.
• Develop tailored technical solutions, recommending product options, upgrades, and additional equipment.
• Prepare and submit compliance statements and formal documentation to demonstrate adherence to specifications.
• Liaise with Procurement to secure pricing and availability of equipment, ensuring timely delivery.
• Assist Sales with material submittals and respond to technical queries from consultants.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and production teams to resolve technical queries and maintain design intent.
• Continuously update knowledge of design standards, tools, and product specifications.
