Humanitarian Mine Action Team Member (NTS/EORE)

About the role

The Humanitarian Mine Action (NTS/EORE) Team Member will support DRC’s Mine Action programme in Lebanon, conducting Non‑Technical Survey (NTS) and Explosive Ordnance Risk Education (EORE) activities. Based in the Bekaa office, the role may involve travel to the North, Akkar and Baalbeck‑Hermel governorates to respond to emergencies or expanding programme needs.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out NTS and desk‑based assessments to identify hazardous areas and enable safe return or productive land use.
• Mark contaminated zones in line with National Mine Action Standards (NMAS) and DRC SOPs.
• Lead community liaison efforts, ensuring active participation and effective communication with affected populations.
• Deliver EORE sessions for adults, adolescents and children using DRC‑approved methodologies.
• Coordinate EORE activities with other DRC sectors, contributing to an integrated humanitarian response.
• Develop and update EORE training materials and maintain accurate activity records and reports.
• Strictly follow safety protocols and standard operating procedures at all times.

• Ability to work under supervision of the HMA (NTS/EORE) Team Lead.
• Willingness to collaborate with local authorities and community representatives.
• Commitment to adhere to safety standards and SOPs in field operations.
