Health Program Coordinator

About the role

Amel Association International, a Lebanese non-governmental organisation founded in 1979, is looking for a Health Program Coordinator to lead and strengthen its health and mental health programmes in Lebanon. The post is based in Beirut with regular field visits and works closely with project coordinators, health field coordinators and the Health Department. It also involves liaison with the Ministry of Public Health, UN agencies, NGOs, partners and donors.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the quality and implementation of health and mental health activities, including primary healthcare centres, mobile units and homecare teams.
• Harmonise processes, tools and guidelines across projects and service delivery teams, and conduct regular field visits.
• Support programme development, fundraising and the implementation of Amel's health-sector vision.
• Oversee emergency preparedness, response and contingency planning.
• Ensure projects comply with donor and partner agreements, coordinate donor reports, develop budgets and expenditure forecasts, and work with procurement, finance and HR teams.
• Supervise health project coordinators, build staff capacity and ensure adherence to internal policies.
• Prepare concept notes and proposals, engage donors, represent Amel in Health Working Group meetings and organise regular meetings with partners.

Required profile

• Master's degree in Nursing, Public Health, Social Sciences or another relevant field.
• At least five years of experience coordinating and managing health projects.
• Fluency in English and French; Arabic is an asset.
• Strong organisational, managerial, communication, teamwork and leadership skills, and ability to work in multicultural, multidisciplinary settings.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Demonstrated experience using databases.

What we offer

• Full-time position under a Lebanese employment contract for one year, renewable.
• Monthly salary of USD 1,500 to 2,000.
