Birth Photographer - Consultant

About the role

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is looking for a Birth Photographer Consultant who provides professional birth and newborn photography services to patients on a paid, per-session basis. The photographer captures high-quality, memorable images during delivery and after the birth of the newborn, enhancing the patient and family experience while keeping clinical, ethical and privacy standards.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and welcome each patient and family with a professional, caring, empathetic and friendly approach, following service excellence standards.
• Perform on-site birth and/or newborn photography sessions as requested, keeping patient information strictly confidential.
• Capture high-quality images that respect the clinical environment, patient dignity and infection-control protocols.
• Comply with hospital policies on photography and videography in the delivery suite and filming, and recording in patient areas.
• Edit and deliver final images to patients within the agreed turnaround time.
• Carry out other related tasks asked by the direct supervisor.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 3-5 years of professional photography experience; prior newborn/birth or medical-setting photography preferred.
• Arabic and English, with IELTS score of 5.0 or higher.
• Professional photography training or certification preferred.

Required skills

• Technical and artistic expertise with professional cameras, lenses and lighting.
• Understanding of composition, depth, contrast and movement.
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and other photo editing software.
