German Language Instructor

About the role

Al Afak Center is seeking a full‑time German Language Instructor to join its team in Tripoli. The position is hybrid, allowing a mix of on‑site teaching and remote work, and focuses on delivering high‑quality German language education to learners of all levels.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver engaging German lessons for group and individual students, both in‑person and online.
• Prepare detailed lesson plans, curricula, and assessment materials aligned with learners’ goals.
• Monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback, and adjust instruction as needed.
• Support learners in understanding German culture, academic expectations, and preparation for study or travel to Germany.
• Collaborate with administrative staff to align language instruction with students’ documentation and travel plans.
• Participate in meetings, training sessions, and curriculum development activities at the centre.

Required profile

• Fluency in German (C1 level or higher) and strong command of English and/or Arabic.
• Relevant academic qualification in German language, Education, Linguistics or a related field.
• Proven experience teaching German in classroom or online settings to diverse age groups and proficiency levels.
• Strong interpersonal skills, cultural sensitivity, and a learner‑centered teaching approach.
