Director of People & Culture

About the role

Le Vendôme Beirut, a luxury hotel in Beirut preparing for its reopening, is looking for a Director of People & Culture to join its executive leadership team. The role leads all People & Culture operations and aligns them with Accor values, policies and business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement people strategies supporting organizational growth and operational excellence.
• Manage recruitment, onboarding, talent development, succession planning and employee retention.
• Foster a positive workplace culture, promote engagement, recognition and wellbeing, and ensure compliance with labour laws and statutory requirements.
• Oversee performance management, compensation and benefits, employee relations and disciplinary processes.
• Develop and monitor the annual People & Culture budget and partner with department leaders on workforce needs.
• Lead learning and development initiatives, maintain employee records, HR metrics and management reports, and coach and mentor the People & Culture team.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Hospitality Management or a related field.
• Postgraduate qualification or professional HR certification (e.g. CIPD, SHRM, PHR/SPHR) is an advantage.
• Minimum 8-10 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 2 years in a senior leadership role in the hospitality industry.
• Previous experience with Accor or an international hotel brand is preferred.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of labour law, HR best practices and employee relations.
• Leadership, communication, coaching and change management skills.
• Proficiency in HR systems and Microsoft Office.
