Director of Experiential Education

About the role

The Lebanese American University School of Pharmacy is seeking a dynamic, visionary pharmacy educator to lead its Experiential Education program. This senior academic role will shape strategic initiatives, oversee experiential learning activities, and enhance partnerships with healthcare and industry sites.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for all experiential education initiatives, including IPPEs, APPEs, observerships, internships, and residency‑related activities.
• Oversee student placement, onboarding, scheduling, and continuous quality assurance for experiential rotations.
• Ensure compliance with ACPE and AACP accreditation standards.
• Integrate social and behavioral sciences—advocacy, communication, ethics, interprofessional education, public health, and social determinants of health—into both didactic and experiential curricula.
• Collaborate with residency program directors on postgraduate training initiatives.
• Expand and strengthen partnerships with local and international healthcare systems, pharmaceutical industry, ambulatory care sites, community practices, and US‑affiliated institutions.
• Engage emerging areas such as AI, simulation, and clinical training technologies.
• Work with academic leadership to create spiral competencies that ensure continuity across learner levels.

Required profile

• Pharmacy educator with a strong scholarly record.
• Demonstrated expertise in academic administration, accreditation, curriculum innovation, and competency‑based education.
• Extensive experience in experiential education and interprofessional education.
• Proven ability to develop and sustain partnerships with healthcare and industry stakeholders.
• Visionary leadership skills to advance high‑quality experiential learning.
