Data Quality Engineer

About the role

The Data Quality Engineer will join CMA CGM’s HUB in Beirut, working on a range of digital projects that support the company’s logistics and shipping operations. You will collaborate with business stakeholders, data scientists and architecture teams to build and maintain a robust analytical data platform.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and support analytical data infrastructure that provides access to large datasets and high‑performance computing.
• Develop and maintain real‑time data pipelines using SQL and AWS services.
• Extract, transform and load data from diverse sources, ensuring data quality and reliability.
• Research and evaluate emerging big‑data, Elasticsearch and visualization technologies to improve capabilities.
• Partner with team members to deploy real‑time models for monitoring and alerting risk systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or Economics.
• At least 2 years of experience in data engineering, business intelligence, data science or a related field.
• Strong analytical mindset with good communication skills in English and French.
• Team‑player attitude with autonomy and collaborative spirit.

Required skills

• SQL development and data modeling.
• ETL processes and data pipeline construction.
• Big‑data technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, HBase and Spark.
• AWS big‑data services including Redshift, S3 and EMR.
• Experience with Elasticsearch and data‑visualisation tools (a plus).
• Knowledge of data‑quality concepts (a plus).
