Consultant – National Digital Divide Report (Jordan)

About the role

UN ESCWA is seeking an experienced consultant to develop a comprehensive National Digital Divide Report for Jordan. The deliverable will be an Arabic-language document of at least 30 pages, including an executive summary and full documentation of sources.

Key responsibilities

• Produce a 30‑plus page report in Arabic, formatted in MS‑Word (.docx) with an automatically updated table of contents, list of tables and figures.
• Write a 2‑4 page executive summary that captures the main findings.
• Ensure all tables, figures, and data are properly sourced and referenced within the text and in a bibliography.
• Submit the final draft after thorough plagiarism screening (no more than 20% previously published text).
• Provide scanned copies of the first page of each source document used.
• Maintain confidentiality; the report is the sole property of ESCWA and cannot be shared publicly without permission.

Required profile

• Proven experience in research, data analysis, and report writing for development or policy projects.
• Fluent Arabic with strong writing skills.
• Familiarity with UN or international donor reporting standards.
• Ability to meet strict deadlines and deliver high‑quality, well‑referenced documents.

Required skills

• MS Word (document formatting, styles, table of contents generation)
