Communication Officer – Lebanon (Onsite)

About the role
The Communication Officer will lead MedGlobal’s communications efforts in Lebanon, showcasing the organization’s humanitarian programmes and health initiatives. Based in Beirut, the officer will develop and implement a comprehensive communications and marketing strategy to raise awareness and mobilise support for vulnerable populations.
Key responsibilities
- Capture high‑quality photos and videos of projects and contextual settings to create compelling visual content.
- Produce a variety of written materials such as blog posts, briefings, fact sheets, presentations and reports focused on Lebanon.
- Manage communication assets, maintain media libraries and coordinate with external partners and media outlets.
- Implement the communications and marketing plan, including social media, website updates and outreach campaigns.
- Raise public awareness of health and humanitarian issues in Lebanon and support fundraising and advocacy efforts.
Required profile
- Relevant experience in communications, journalism, public relations or a related field, preferably within humanitarian or NGO contexts.
- Strong storytelling ability and capacity to translate complex health topics into clear messages.
- Excellent written and verbal English skills; Arabic proficiency is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with program teams and external partners.
