Clinical Psychologist for GBV Survivors (Bekaa)

About the role

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is seeking a qualified Clinical Psychologist to provide specialized mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) to women and girls who are survivors of gender‑based violence (GBV) in the Bekaa region. This consultancy will involve direct therapeutic work, clinical supervision of case managers, and the development of survivor‑centered treatment plans.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct one‑on‑one and group counseling sessions for GBV survivors, ensuring each session lasts at least 45 minutes.
• Perform comprehensive clinical assessments, formulate case diagnoses, and create individualized treatment plans with clear timelines.
• Provide clinical supervision and coaching to case workers, enhancing their capacity to manage complex GBV cases.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to GBV guiding principles throughout all interactions.
• Document intake assessments, treatment recommendations, progress notes, and follow‑up reports in an organized manner.
• Submit detailed case reports and monthly summary updates to the program manager and case management officer.

Required profile

• Licensed or certified clinical psychologist with experience working with women and girls affected by GBV.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct trauma‑informed assessments and deliver evidence‑based therapeutic interventions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Capacity to work under tight timelines, delivering a minimum of five consultations per day.
