Protection PSS Facilitator – GBV (2 positions) – Bekaa

About the role

The International Rescue Committee is seeking two Protection Psychosocial Support (PSS) Facilitators specialized in gender‑based violence (GBV) to work in the Bekaa region. You will serve as the frontline for protection activities, conducting outreach, facilitating sessions, and supporting adolescent girls enrolled in the Girl Shine program.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct outreach to identify and engage adolescent girls for the Girl Shine program, ensuring inclusivity and protection sensitivity.
• Collect high‑quality data while respecting confidentiality and dignity of respondents.
• Submit daily highlights, notes, and case updates to the supervisor and produce daily activity reports.
• Identify and share protection risks and trends with IRC staff for timely response.
• Collaborate with team members and partners to coordinate protection activities and referrals.
• Participate in capacity‑building trainings and coaching sessions organized by IRC.

Required profile

• Effective communication with children, youth, and adults.
• Ability to work under pressure and gather information objectively and sensitively.
• Respect for beneficiaries’ cultures and traditions.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and time‑management skills.
• Basic technology proficiency (e.g., tablets).
• Experience facilitating psychosocial support activities, community engagement, or awareness sessions.
• Experience working with children and caregivers is an asset.
