About the role
The accountant will ensure proper filing, archiving, and verification of tax documents, supporting evidence, invoices, and expenses to maintain compliance with local tax laws.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare reconciliations related to VAT, withholding tax, and tax accounts.
- Prepare and review VAT declarations and tax‑related reports.
- Review accounting entries related to VAT and taxation before submission.
- Coordinate with accounting teams to collect missing documents and data.
- Follow up on corrections, adjustments, and tax‑related discrepancies.
- Monitor compliance with local tax laws and regulations.
- Assist in preparing documents required for audits and tax inspections.
- Communicate with clients regarding missing documents, declarations, and tax requirements.
- Coordinate with internal departments to resolve operational and taxation issues.
Required profile
- Previous experience in audit or an accounting firm.
- Ability to ensure tasks are completed within deadlines and according to company standards.
