Technical Sales Engineer - Detergent Raw Materials & Water Treatment

About the role

OTERI, a chemical manufacturing and distribution company with more than 60 years of experience, is looking for a motivated Technical Sales Engineer to support its Detergent Raw Materials and/or Water Treatment divisions. The role suits someone who wants to learn from experienced professionals and build a long-term career in industrial chemical sales.

Key responsibilities

• Support senior sales managers in executing commercial strategies and growing customer accounts.
• Learn and promote the portfolio of specialty chemicals by understanding their technical features and customer needs.
• Assist in organizing client visits, product presentations and technical follow-ups.
• Build customer relationships through regular contact, follow-ups and service excellence.
• Conduct market research and help gather competitive intelligence and customer feedback.
• Maintain CRM records, prepare reports and contribute to internal sales planning.

Required profile

• Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science or a related technical/commercial field.
• 1-3 years of experience in sales of chemicals or water treatment products.
• Fluent in Arabic and English; French is a strong plus.
• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills with a consultative approach to sales.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel regularly to customer sites.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• CRM record keeping and reporting.
