Tech Lead – Drive 0-1 Product Development

About the role

We are seeking a seasoned Tech Lead to drive our 0‑1 product development at Toters, an on‑demand e‑commerce and delivery platform operating in the Middle East. You will shape a new product from the ground up, collaborating cross‑functionally to deliver a high‑impact solution.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, architecture, and development of new 0‑1 products, ensuring fast iteration and scalability.
• Mentor and guide backend and mobile engineers, set coding standards, and conduct code reviews.
• Architect scalable backend solutions using microservices, event‑driven and serverless designs, and develop high‑performance RESTful APIs.
• Break down complex projects into manageable tasks, monitor progress, and communicate updates to stakeholders.
• Participate in recruiting and collaborate with product, design, and other teams to define requirements and drive product success.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or related field.
• 8+ years of backend engineering experience, including technical leadership roles.
• Proven experience designing and delivering large‑scale distributed systems and launching successful 0‑1 products.

Required skills

• Backend programming languages such as Python, Java, Node.js, or Go.
• Architectural patterns: Microservices, Domain‑Driven Design, Event‑Driven Architecture.
• Cloud platforms and services: AWS (EC2, ECS, Lambda, RDS).
• Databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL; caching/queuing: Redis.
• Containerization and orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes.
• CI/CD pipelines, Git, and DevOps practices.
