Talent Development Lead

About the role

The Talent Development Lead provides a professional HR and training service within general policies and professional standards, supporting the delivery of high-quality HR and training services. The role plans, coordinates and directs training and staff development programmes for the organisation, with additional regional responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Initiate and manage functional and/or corporate projects that support ongoing training initiatives for the retail division.
• Introduce and implement in-house training and development plans aligned with company business goals, as well as external initiatives aligned with personal development plans.
• Assess training needs in coordination with line managers and give feedback to management.
• Formulate training policies, programmes and schedules based on identified needs, production processes and business systems.
• Supervise the team by planning and assigning tasks, setting deadlines, monitoring results and quality, and relaying team requests to management.
• Assist in recruiting, training, motivating and evaluating the team so it has the right skill base.
• Regional: develop and implement leadership training programmes in line with the yearly learning and development strategy and approved budget.
• Regional: guide country trainers on group and regional initiatives, coach them and follow up on objectives and standards.
• Regional: analyse HR performance indicators such as employee turnover and performance appraisal results and propose training action plans with country HR.
• Regional: develop the regional learning and development strategy with management.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology or Business Administration; an MBA in a related field is a plus.
• 6-8 years of experience in a similar field, including at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Fluency in English.
