Software Sales Representative

About the role

A results-driven Software Sales Representative is sought to drive revenue by identifying potential clients and selling software services. This is a pure sales position focused on the pre-purchase journey: building relationships, running demos and closing deals. The company provides the technical tools and training; the candidate provides the persuasion and persistence.

Key responsibilities

• Lead generation: prospect new business through outbound outreach via LinkedIn, email and cold calling.
• Product demonstrations: run virtual and in-person presentations showing how the software solves client problems.
• Pipeline management: track sales activities in the CRM (e.g. Salesforce or HubSpot) for accurate forecasting and follow-ups.
• Closing deals: negotiate service agreements and pricing to secure new contracts and meet monthly sales targets.
• Relationship building: act as the first point of contact for new clients and build trust and long-term partnerships.

Required profile

• A tech-curious mindset: no developer background needed, but comfort learning software features, understanding cloud services and explaining technical benefits simply.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication, able to tell a compelling product story.
• Proven track record in a sales or customer-facing role, with resilience and ability to handle rejection.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or a related field preferred, though equivalent sales experience is highly valued.

Required skills

• Proficiency with modern office technology and willingness to learn sales automation tools.
• CRM use such as Salesforce or HubSpot.
