Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our backend systems, APIs, web platforms, and mobile applications. The role involves leading test planning, designing both automated and manual testing frameworks, and collaborating with developers, product managers, DevOps, and other cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality software.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and execute comprehensive manual and automated test plans, cases, and scripts for backend, API, web, and mobile systems.
• Perform functional, regression, performance, load, usability, and user‑acceptance testing across platforms.
• Validate database queries, stored procedures, and data integrity; ensure backend services meet performance and security requirements.
• Identify, document, and track defects using Jira or TestRail and work with development teams to resolve them.
• Collaborate with developers, DevOps, product managers, and designers to align on requirements and test strategies.
• Conduct pre‑release and post‑release evaluations, monitor staging and production environments for anomalies.
• Develop and enhance automation frameworks for backend, API, and UI testing; cooperate with security teams on vulnerability remediation.
• Maintain detailed QA documentation, metrics, and reporting for stakeholders.
• Research and adopt new testing tools and best practices, driving continuous improvement of QA processes.

Required profile

• BSc/BA in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum three years of professional QA experience, preferably with web and mobile applications.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills and critical analytical thinking.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments is a plus.

Required skills

• Jira and TestRail for defect and test management.
• Selenium and Detox for automated testing.
• SQL and database validation.
• Scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for test automation.
