Senior Liferay Developer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Liferay Developer to lead the management and development of our OpenText Liferay platform in Qatar. The role involves high‑level administration, system configuration, and delivering robust Java‑based solutions for our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the OpenText Liferay platform and its components at a high level.
• Install CARS, OTDS and the Liferay platform.
• Perform system configuration, backup and restore actions.
• Create and assign users to roles and teams, and manage identities.
• Implement and test web services and the SOA grid within Liferay.
• Investigate logs using Liferay’s logging framework and troubleshoot business processes with Process Instance Manager.
• Configure OTDS (OpenText Directory Services) to integrate with Liferay.
• Deploy, launch and support applications on the Liferay platform.
• Provide end‑user support and resolve implementation issues.
• Assemble entity hierarchies, construct relationships, and wrap entities as web services.
• Build user interfaces with lists, forms and layouts.
• Design, create and implement Java‑based applications according to specifications.
• Write testable, scalable code and prepare detailed project reports.
• Collaborate with internal teams and assist other developers with debugging and coding.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in Java‑based programming.
• Certification in coding (preferred).
