The Senior Fashion Buyer-Manager drives the buying strategy for a leading department store, aligning brand mix with company vision and revenue goals. This senior position leads a team, negotiates with vendors, and ensures the assortment meets market trends and profitability targets.

Key responsibilities

• Define seasonal buying strategies that support brand positioning and sales targets.
• Select, curate, and approve collections to ensure relevance, quality, and commercial appeal.
• Attract new brands and propose new categories to meet consumer needs.
• Conduct market research and trend analysis to guide strategic decisions.
• Develop yearly business and assortment plans, set KPIs, and monitor sales, margin, and sell‑out performance.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, exclusivity agreements, and delivery timelines with suppliers.
• Set pricing strategies to increase profitability and oversee stock distribution across flagship stores.
• Manage budget, forecast analysis, and monitor P&L to identify risks and drive financial KPIs.
• Collaborate with e‑commerce, visual merchandising, marketing, operations, and distribution teams to ensure brand visibility and optimal stock levels.
• Maintain supplier compliance with company standards and support talent development within the buying team.

Required profile

• Proven experience in fashion buying or merchandising at a senior level.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management capabilities.
• Deep understanding of market trends, consumer insights, and competitor activity.
• Ability to develop and execute strategic buying plans and budgets.
