Senior Compliance Officer

About the role

BOB Finance is looking for a qualified and detail-oriented Senior Compliance Officer. The role ensures compliance with applicable laws, regulations, regulatory requirements and internal policies, and supports the development and continuous improvement of the company's compliance framework.

Key responsibilities

• Review, validate and approve customer KYC and E-KYC.
• Review newly opened accounts and supervise screening of prospective and existing customers against local and international watch lists.
• Conduct CDD and EDD for new and existing customers and subagents.
• Handle C2B, B2B and B2C approvals, including due diligence, screening, public information, legal documents and supporting documents needed for onboarding, and monitor customer operations.
• Generate reports on service transactions to assess data integrity and spot suspicious activity; prepare daily and monthly risk-based reports and report suspicious transactions to the Head of Compliance.
• Cooperate with the SIC and Western Union on AML matters, assist in inquiries and investigations, and reply to letters from the SIC.
• Ensure subagents comply with AML/CFT laws and procedures, support them professionally, and raise fraud awareness among subagents and customers.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, Accounting or a related field.
• Master's degree or professional certification in Compliance, AML, Risk Management or a related discipline is an advantage.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant compliance experience, preferably in banking, financial services or a regulated financial institution.
• Professional certifications such as CAMS or equivalent are an advantage.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements, AML/CTF principles, KYC procedures and compliance risk management.
• Experience in KYC, CDD/EDD and AML/CFT compliance.
