Retail Store Manager I – New Hampshire Liquor Outlet

About the role

The State of New Hampshire Liquor Commission is seeking a full‑time Retail Store Manager I to oversee daily operations of a low‑volume liquor outlet in West Lebanon, NH. You will ensure exceptional customer service, maintain compliance with state regulations, and help maximize store profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service and build a loyal customer base.
• Supervise store personnel up to Retail Salesperson III level.
• Open and close the store, manage cash deposits, and conduct inventory counts.
• Set up merchandising displays and maintain store equipment.
• Train and guide employees on store procedures and state liquor regulations.
• Account for stock, handle cash transactions, and ensure accurate record‑keeping.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; combination of education and experience accepted.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lb continuously and handle cases up to 60 lb.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules including days, evenings, and weekends.
• One year of experience in a public‑contact, retail, or cash‑handling role preferred.
