Prompt Engineering Associate

About the role

This fully remote role turns colleagues' requests into tested prompts, the instructions given to AI tools, so the team can produce useful answers with fewer repeated corrections. You support builders with smaller workflow changes, keep examples of working instructions, and check every AI answer or result before anyone uses or shares it. A technology team lead reviews your designs and guides decisions about what to build next. The role pays a monthly base salary of USD 830 to 1,200 plus bonus opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Write, test and improve prompts using an AI assistant such as Claude.
• Review incoming requests in a work management tool such as Asana, agree priorities with the team lead and record current ways of doing the work.
• Design a simple solution, choosing which steps need AI and which follow fixed rules, then build small workflows with an automation tool such as Zapier.
• Test normal examples, missing details and unexpected answers, and add checks and alerts for stopped workflows or doubtful answers.
• Keep a shared list of tested prompts, their purpose, sample inputs and limits, and save earlier versions.
• Write short guides, watch early use, answer questions and suggest improvements.
• Judge quality by accurate answers, repeatable results, clear notes and quick fixes, and share progress and unresolved issues with the team lead.

Required profile

• Conversational spoken English and clear written English.
• Hands-on experience building real automations or AI workflows, including work and personal projects.
• Ability to turn a vague request into clear instructions, examples and a simple test plan.
• Practical understanding of how wording, background details and examples change an AI answer.
• Careful testing habits and respect for private information.

Required skills
