Mid-Level Full-Stack Developer (Hybrid, 6‑month contract)

About the role

The Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) is seeking a Mid‑Level Full‑Stack Developer to support the Decision‑Support and Data Science Division. The contractor will work on modernising and migrating existing web applications to a unified .NET Core stack while ensuring containerised, consistent environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement RESTful APIs and backend services using ASP.NET Core, following clean architecture and SOLID principles.
• Develop data access layers with Entity Framework Core, Dapper or raw ADO.NET for PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL Server.
• Analyze and translate legacy Angular, React and NestJS codebases into maintainable .NET Core solutions.
• Document migration decisions and collaborate with the technical lead to prioritise tasks.
• Design, optimise and version relational database schemas, including stored procedures, views and indexing strategies.
• Containerise services with Docker and Docker Compose, and support DevOps processes.

Required profile

• Mid‑level professional with proven experience in full‑stack development.
• Familiarity with UN or international organisation environments is a plus.
