Loss Prevention Officer

About the role

The Loss Prevention Officer is responsible for safeguarding the property, guests, and employees by monitoring security systems, conducting patrols, and responding to incidents. This full‑time, on‑site position ensures a safe environment and supports the overall guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Patrol all areas of the property and control access to rooms.
• Monitor CCTV, perimeter alarms, duress alarms, and fire‑life safety systems.
• Lock property entrances when required and conduct daily hazard inspections.
• Respond to accidents, provide first aid/CPR, and coordinate with EMS.
• Handle guest or employee disturbances, defuse conflicts, and call for external assistance when needed.
• Complete incident reports, shift summaries, and maintain confidentiality of all security documentation.
• Investigate incidents, gather evidence, and interview relevant parties.
• Escort unwelcome persons and report vehicle accidents or thefts.

Required profile

• Ability to stand, walk, or run for extended periods and lift objects up to 50 lb unaided.
• Clear communication skills and professional appearance.
• Willingness to follow company policies, safety training, and confidentiality standards.
