Kitchen Porter – Full‑time at Grange Restaurant, Devon

About the role

We are looking for enthusiastic Kitchen Porters to join our catering team at Grange Restaurant in Buckfast, Devon. You will help maintain a clean, safe and efficient kitchen environment, supporting both back‑of‑house and front‑of‑house operations.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize kitchen areas, equipment and utensils following schedules and hygiene standards.
• Manage waste disposal, deliveries, and storage of food and supplies.
• Assist with basic food preparation tasks as required.
• Support the Front of House team during service when needed.
• Follow health, safety and environmental procedures at all times.

Required profile

• Positive, ‘can‑do’ attitude with strong teamwork skills.
• Great attention to detail and commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently without compromising quality.
• Proactive – able to identify tasks and take ownership of completion.
• Flexibility to work across kitchens and varied hours, including weekends.
• Awareness of health, safety and environmental practices.

Required skills

• Basic food preparation.
• Food hygiene knowledge (Food Hygiene certificate – can be obtained after start).
• Full UK driving licence (desirable).
