Junior Research & Operations Associate

About the role

DealBio is a market‑intelligence platform that tracks health and longevity startups for investors. We are looking for a motivated Junior Research & Operations Associate to join us full‑time and support the end‑to‑end workflow of sourcing, researching, monitoring, and publishing startup insights.

Key responsibilities

• Identify promising health and longevity startups through accelerators, VC portfolios, universities, incubators and other channels.
• Research each company, assess funding stage, equity raised, sector, founders and eligibility for DealBio.
• Produce structured Startup Briefs for investors and verify all data against company websites, LinkedIn, funding announcements and media coverage.
• Monitor published startups for updates such as new funding, partnerships, clinical progress or product launches.
• Maintain internal databases and operational systems with high accuracy.
• Communicate with founders to gather updates and handle company information.
• Support the distribution of research content on LinkedIn, X and the DealBio newsletter, ensuring all AI‑generated outputs are independently checked.

• Trustworthy and honest, transparent about work and mistakes.
• Rigorous, detail‑oriented and able to follow detailed processes.
• Highly organized with a habit of maintaining trackers and documentation.
• Quick learner who can understand unfamiliar companies and concepts.
• Independent yet knows when to ask for clarification.
• Receptive to direct feedback and able to adapt quickly.
• Genuinely curious about startups, investing, health and longevity.
• Flexible to occasional evening or weekend work and pleasant to work with.

Required skills

• Proficiency with AI research tools such as ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini.
