Junior Chemist

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Junior Chemist to join our laboratory team. You will support research and development activities, conduct experiments, and ensure product quality while collaborating closely with technicians and the sales team.

Key responsibilities

• Perform research, design and execute experiments, record observations and analyze data.
• Report experimental results and provide insights to R&D and the sales team.
• Instruct and train laboratory technicians on specimen preparation, sampling, and testing procedures.
• Investigate product quality defects, conduct root‑cause analysis and prepare corrective action reports.
• Test new or modified products for performance, durability and compliance with local and international standards (TDS, AMS, MSDS).
• Carry out in‑process control, validation activities and ensure compliance with quality standards during production.
• Reformulate existing products and develop new formulations, updating laboratory systems accordingly.
• Maintain waste‑control management (WCM) practices and monitor stock levels to avoid shortages.
• Prepare reports on cost savings, CO₂ reduction, silo cleaning and microbiological water testing.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related field.
• 0–2 years of laboratory experience, including internships or academic projects.
• Strong attention to detail, willingness to learn and good communication skills.
• Ability to follow health and safety procedures and accurately record data.

Required skills

• Knowledge of common analytical techniques.
• Proficiency with standard laboratory equipment.
• Understanding of safety procedures and documentation (TDS, AMS, MSDS).
• Data recording and reporting skills.
• Root‑cause analysis for quality investigations.
