IT Technician – Hikvision CCTV & General Support

About the role

We are looking for a versatile IT Technician to provide day‑to‑day technical support, with a primary focus on managing Hikvision CCTV systems and a secondary focus on general desktop and network assistance.

Key responsibilities

• Configure and maintain Hikvision devices using SADP, manage IP schemes, and enable remote access via Hik‑Connect or iVMS‑4200.
• Administer Hikvision NVRs (DS‑76xx, DS‑77xx or similar), monitor HDD health, RAID settings, recording schedules and storage recycling.
• Set up and troubleshoot iVMS‑4200 and HikCentral for multi‑site viewing, user permissions and alarm integrations.
• Apply firmware updates to address security vulnerabilities.
• Provide desktop support for Windows OS, Office 365 and printer issues.
• Maintain an accurate IT asset inventory and document camera locations, IP schemes and NVR configurations.
• Escalate complex server or network problems to the IT Manager.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field.
• 2‑3 years of hands‑on experience with CCTV systems and general IT support.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DHCP, static routing and basic switch configuration.
• Detail‑oriented and able to follow security best practices, such as changing default passwords immediately.
