IT Systems Operator

About the role

We are looking for an IT Systems Operator to join Marriott International’s team in Beirut. The role focuses on maintaining and supporting computer hardware, peripheral devices and the underlying technical architecture that keeps our hotel operations running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair computer hardware and peripheral equipment such as printers and scanners.
• Respond to program error messages, correct issues or terminate faulty programs.
• Provide technical guidance and recommendations to resolve business problems.
• Escalate major hardware/software problems to vendors or external technicians.
• Enter commands and operate controls on computers and related equipment.
• Maintain and upgrade hardware, software, and website technical architecture, including telecommunication connectivity.
• Report accidents or unsafe conditions promptly and follow emergency procedures.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues using electronic devices, email, pagers or two‑way radios.
• Perform physical tasks such as lifting objects up to 50 lb, reaching overhead, and bending or stooping as required.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• No prior related work experience required.
• No supervisory experience needed.
• No specific license or certification required.

Required skills

• Computer hardware troubleshooting.
• Operation of peripheral devices (printers, scanners).
• Hardware and software maintenance.
• Understanding of website technical architecture.
• Basic telecommunication connectivity knowledge.
