IT Performance Lead – Terminal Project Manager

About the role

We are looking for a proactive IT Performance Lead to oversee the IT health of a portfolio of container terminals worldwide. The role bridges the central IT department and local terminal teams, ensuring standards are met, performance is optimized, and financial stewardship is maintained.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor overall IT performance and health of assigned terminals using KPIs and dashboards, focusing on trends, service availability, and operational efficiency.
• Ensure terminal IT teams comply with corporate policies, security standards, and architectural guidelines, acting as a governance partner.
• Identify and propose high‑value projects that leverage central resources to improve efficiency, reduce costs, or enhance security.
• Participate in CAPEX and OPEX budget planning, track expenditures, and provide financial forecasts.
• Serve as the primary liaison for terminal managers and local IT leaders, communicating strategic goals and performance insights.
• Oversee resolution of high‑impact IT issues affecting multiple terminals and document root causes.
• Coordinate strategic IT projects such as system upgrades, technology standardisation, and global platform roll‑outs.
• Generate and present performance reports to senior management with recommendations for improvement.
• Promote best‑practice sharing across terminals and support M&A or tender IT activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Fluent written and spoken English; additional languages are a plus.
• Proven experience as a CIO or IT Manager within the container terminal industry, with portfolio management responsibilities.
• Strong background in budget planning and financial oversight.
