IT Audit Senior Profile

About the role

The IT Auditor ensures that IT internal controls are properly set and maintained, examining the organization's IT systems, governance and networks so that data is securely stored and available. The auditor must understand the business context and align audits to OMT products, services and processes, with recommendations that benefit both IT and business operations. The position is based in Beirut.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and conduct internal audit activities, including defining objectives, identifying major controls and risks and designing the audit programme
• Review organizational activities against departmental standards and examine internal IT controls, evaluating their design and operational effectiveness and developing remediation strategies
• Evaluate IT systems across the full lifecycle of OMT products and services, from development to deployment
• Conduct risk assessments, identify vulnerabilities and recommend countermeasures, and test application controls
• Audit security measures protecting data, systems and networks, and review and test application controls
• Provide recommendations on security and control risks, and produce and review audit reports and work papers
• Manage internal audit projects such as fraud investigations, risk assessments, due diligence acquisition reviews and policy updates

Required profile

• University degree in information technology, computer information systems or a related field
• Masters or MBA
• Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) is a must
• 8 to 13 years of experience in IT audit
• Advanced written and spoken English, moderate Arabic; French is a plus

Required skills

• Expertise in IT systems, applications and infrastructure, and cybersecurity trends
• Knowledge of firewalls, VPN, DLP, IDS/IPS, web proxies and information security audits
• Experience implementing and managing ISO 27001
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Office tools and IT audit methodologies
