Senior Data Engineer (Remote, Lebanon)

About the role

Gabriel & Co., a luxury fine jewelry and bridal design house founded in 1989, is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to build, maintain and optimise its enterprise data platform, its Single Source of Truth (SSOT) built on AWS Redshift. The role is hands-on and reports to IT/Technology leadership, working with Software Delivery, Marketing, Sales and Finance to improve data quality, accessibility and reliability. It is a full-time position with working hours of 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM Lebanon time.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain the AWS-based data warehouse/lakehouse architecture, including security, scalability, performance and cost efficiency
• Build and monitor ETL/ELT pipelines that integrate ERP, e-commerce, CRM, marketing, finance and B2B data
• Design dimensional and star-schema models, conformed dimensions and curated data layers
• Apply data-quality checks, documentation and lineage, and maintain RBAC and governance processes
• Collaborate with stakeholders to turn business requirements into scalable data solutions
• Prepare reliable data pipelines and datasets for AI and machine-learning initiatives

Required profile

• Proven experience building a data warehouse or lakehouse from the ground up
• Experience integrating data from ERP, CRM, e-commerce and marketing platforms
• Knowledge of data governance, quality controls, access management and lineage
• Ability to work independently and communicate technical trade-offs to technical and non-technical colleagues
• Strong written and spoken English
• Remote work: a quiet home workspace, stable high-speed internet and power backup, available 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM Lebanon time
