Internal Audit Senior Officer

About the role

LIA Assurex, a leading Lebanese insurance company, is seeking an Internal Audit Senior Officer to lead operational and financial audit activities. The role focuses on delivering actionable insights that enhance efficiency and strengthen internal controls across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Implement best audit and business practices in line with internal audit standards.
• Prepare and update audit programs according to regulations and work requirements.
• Conduct risk‑based audit missions to assess the efficiency and effectiveness of the internal control framework.
• Identify and evaluate significant business and financial risks, monitor controls, and recommend risk‑mitigation measures.
• Participate in the budgeting process for the Internal Audit Department.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Auditing, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
• 4–6 years of relevant audit experience.
• Proficiency in English and Arabic; French is a plus.
• Professional certifications such as CIA, CMA, or CPA are preferred.
• Strong communication abilities and meticulous attention to detail.

• In‑depth knowledge of internal audit standards and emerging audit techniques.
• Ability to design, execute, and document audit programs.
• Expertise in risk assessment and control evaluation.
