About the role
The Information Management Assistant (Data and Research) will support IOM’s Data and Research Unit in Beirut by implementing information management functions that underpin displacement tracking and migration analysis. Working under the Head of Programme and in close coordination with the Data Operations Assistant, the role contributes to evidence‑based planning and response.
Key responsibilities
- Implement and maintain information management processes for the Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) and related data sets.
- Collect, clean, store, and analyse primary data on population movements and migrant presence.
- Produce regular reports, including the annual Migrant Presence Monitoring report.
- Support other IOM programmes by addressing their data and research needs.
- Coordinate with other units in the Lebanon Country Office to ensure data quality and timely dissemination.
Required profile
- High school diploma with at least four years of relevant professional experience, or a bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT or a related field with at least two years of experience.
- Demonstrated experience in information management, preferably within Lebanon.
- Experience in database management and GIS mapping.
- Experience designing data collection tools and managing data workflows.
