Data Management Consultant

About the role

The Data Management Consultant will support IOM Lebanon’s Shelter, Site Management & Coordination (SMC) and Housing, Land & Property (HLP) programmes, as well as the Data and Research Unit. Reporting to the Programme Coordinator and the SMC Information Management Officer, the consultant will implement information‑management functions across these units.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain data collection tools and databases, including KoboToolbox/ODK forms, data entry templates, and structured data flows, ensuring compliance with IOM Data Protection Principles.
• Perform data cleaning, validation, deduplication and consolidation of datasets received from field teams, partners and assessments, documenting procedures applied.
• Prepare information management products such as Power BI dashboards, reports, factsheets, data visualisations and operational and thematic maps produced in ArcGIS, following IOM reporting and visual identity standards.
• Coordinate timely release of information products to internal and external audiences, applying data sharing protocols and maintaining version control.
• Maintain data storages, documentation and user access rights, including geodatabases, and ensure proper upload of agreed data sets.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Statistics, Social Sciences, Geography or related field with at least four years of relevant professional experience (or high‑school diploma with six years).
• Proven experience in information management tasks such as data collection, cleaning, analysis and development of IM products, including drafting survey questionnaires and reports on humanitarian operations.
• Experience working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons or other vulnerable groups, preferably within international humanitarian organisations.
• Fluency in English and native‑level Arabic.
