Food Safety & Quality Supervisor

About the role

Nabat Organic is a manufacturer and distributor of certified-organic foods in the Lebanese and Levant market. It is looking for an experienced Food Safety & Quality Supervisor to implement, monitor and enforce its food safety and quality systems across production, packing, storage and related operations. The role reports to the production supervisor.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure the Food Safety Management System is implemented and enforced, and keep policies, procedures, work instructions, forms and records up to date
• Ensure compliance with HACCP, GMP, prerequisite programs, OPRPs and CCPs, and monitor performance across production, packing, receiving, storage and handling
• Identify risks, non-conformities and areas for improvement and drive corrective actions
• Inspect production, packing, warehouse and storage areas, and monitor cleaning, sanitation, pest control, personal hygiene and waste management
• Monitor product quality, handle non-conforming products, and check supplier requirements and traceability and recall controls
• Train staff on food safety, hygiene, GMP and HACCP, run internal audits and follow up on findings
• Run traceability exercises and mock recalls, support investigations of customer complaints and incidents, and prepare regular reports for senior management
• Keep up to date with food-safety regulations and standards, and ensure readiness for external audits

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in food science, food safety, food technology, quality management or a related field
• Minimum 2 years of experience in food safety, quality control, QA/QC or food production/packing
• Good understanding of GMP, HACCP, food hygiene and sanitation
• Knowledge of ISO 22000, FSSC 22000 or similar standards is highly preferred
• Experience in a food production, packing, processing or warehousing environment
• Location: office/operations in Aramoun
