About the role
Nexans Liban Cables, part of the Distribution & Usages group, is looking for a Technical Engineer in Nahr Ibrahim, Lebanon. The engineer prepares technical studies for tenders and customer enquiries, supports the design and development of new cable products, and coordinates with the technical manager.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare standard estimates and determine the raw materials needed for new cable products.
- Carry out electrical and mechanical studies of cables, including dimensions, characteristics, current-carrying capacities at different laying conditions, short-circuit current values, maximum pulling tension and drawings.
- Specify the applicable electrical and mechanical tests to be performed on the cables.
- Prepare a detailed deviations and clarifications list to submit with the technical offer.
- Take part in the design and development of new cable products to meet customer needs.
- Coordinate and help prepare inspection test plans when required.
Required profile
- Degree in engineering or physics.
- 3 to 5 years of experience.
- Good oral and written French and English, with effective communication skills.
Required skills
- Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
