Finance Coordinator

About the role

The Finance Coordinator will lead the financial and administrative management of the mission in Lebanon, ensuring compliance with AAH‑Spain rules and local regulations. This role supports all departments by providing accurate financial planning, treasury oversight, and strategic advice to senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor mission execution, cash‑flow, and contract management through regular OTF meetings and financial tools.
• Maintain and update the mission’s financial plan using the standard Financial Management Tool (FMT) on a monthly basis.
• Control the Cost Coverage Plan, produce monthly budget follow‑ups, and ensure accurate forecasts across departments.
• Prepare and submit budget proposals, contract reformulations, and financial reports to donors in a timely manner.
• Supervise monthly accounting closing, validate invoicing, and ensure analytical accounting compliance within five working days of the new month.
• Define and implement treasury flows, manage cash reserves, forecast treasury needs, and handle relationships with banks.
• Ensure adherence to expenditure authorization procedures, maintain proper documentation, and represent the mission with other organizations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in mission‑oriented financial management, preferably in the humanitarian or NGO sector.
• Strong understanding of local Lebanese financial regulations and donor compliance requirements.
• Ability to work collaboratively with program managers, heads of bases, and external partners.
• Excellent analytical and reporting skills with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.
