Document Control Specialist

About the role

The Document Control Specialist will oversee the management of product lifecycle data and engineering change processes for MultiLane Test Products. This role ensures accurate documentation, part numbering, and bill of materials across PLM and ERP systems, supporting the company's high‑speed test instrumentation portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Implement, manage, and administer the PLM system.
• Handle Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) from initiation through approval and implementation.
• Review ECNs for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with standards.
• Create new part numbers and BOMs following defined formats and structures.
• Process deviations and waivers for non‑conforming materials or products.
• Maintain control of drawings, specifications, BOMs, and manufacturing documents.
• Ensure correct BOMs, part numbers, and revisions are recorded in the ERP system.
• Export released ECO packages from PLM to suppliers and contract manufacturers.
• Support Quality Management System audits and participate in departmental activities.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor’s degree in a technical field is desirable.
• 3–5 years of experience as a Document Control Specialist in an electronic manufacturing environment.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Effective communication and collaboration across engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office suite.

Required skills

• Experience with modern PLM systems such as TeamCenter, Arena, Oracle PLM, or AutoDesk.
• Knowledge of engineering and manufacturing documentation practices.
• Familiarity with ISO 13485, ISO 9001, and AS9100 standards (a plus).
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Competence with Microsoft Office applications.
