DevOps Support Engineer – IS Operations (Beirut)

About the role

We are seeking a DevOps Support Engineer to join a high‑impact IS Operations team at a leading financial technology company in Beirut. This support‑focused position ensures the stability and continuity of mission‑critical platforms and services that serve managed services teams and global clients.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, maintain and troubleshoot in‑house platforms, micro‑services and containerised workloads on AWS.
• Handle incidents, service requests and change tickets through ITSM tools, responding to alerts and ensuring service continuity.
• Execute Saturday production releases with accuracy and perform root‑cause analysis for recurring issues.
• Carry out routine maintenance, software updates and security patching.
• Maintain and improve operational documentation, runbooks and knowledge‑base articles.
• Collaborate with internal teams during shift handovers and work rotating 24/6 shifts.
• Proactively recommend process improvements and support end‑users while meeting SLA targets.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Computer Science or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in IT support, DevOps support or systems operations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with Docker and Kubernetes (deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting).
• Working knowledge of core AWS services.
• Familiarity with micro‑services architecture and distributed systems.
• Experience with ITSM tools for incident, change and service request management.
• Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines and release management.
• Scripting knowledge in Bash or Python (plus).
