Information Technology Specialist

About the role

OHANA Development is looking for an Information Technology Specialist to support its IT systems and infrastructure in Lebanon. The role covers installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of IT systems, end-user support and alignment of technology resources. The specialist reports to the IT Manager at the Abu Dhabi head office, which coordinates assignments and supervises tasks. The position is based in Beirut, with regular visits to the Damour site.

Key responsibilities

• Network and server management: oversee network infrastructure, configure firewalls, switches and access points, troubleshoot endpoints and networks, install printers and scanners, monitor ISP performance, and manage physical and virtual servers, backups and storage.
• Software and hardware support: set up and maintain Windows and macOS systems and applications, and report misuse of equipment to the IT Manager.
• Cloud management: manage user accounts, devices, passwords and MFA in Microsoft 365, Intune, Teams and SharePoint; back up data with OneDrive.
• Data protection: train staff on Office 365, teach cybersecurity against spam and phishing, and enforce firewall and antivirus policies.
• Inventory and procurement: lead IT asset inventory, track software licenses, process equipment requests, follow up with procurement and coordinate with external vendors.
• Security and access: manage CCTV cameras, PBX/IP phones, backup and disaster recovery, and access control devices.
• Communication: liaise with the head office IT Manager, communicate IT policies, and work with department heads on their needs.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science/engineering or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in IT support, with a track record of managing IT systems and providing technical support.
• Experience with server management, cloud technologies, network administration and security systems.
• Any IT certification in networking, cloud systems or helpdesk is an added advantage.
