Senior Backend Developer - Node.js

About the role

BlackStone eIT is looking for a Senior Backend Developer with strong experience in Node.js, microservices, Camunda workflows and enterprise integrations. The role suits someone who can investigate complex issues across microservices, workflows, messaging systems, APIs and databases, with strong development and production troubleshooting skills.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services and microservices using Node.js / TypeScript
• Develop and support REST/GraphQL APIs and system integrations
• Develop, maintain and troubleshoot Camunda workflows, investigating failed or stuck workflows, workers and incidents
• Troubleshoot messaging integrations with RabbitMQ and Azure Service Bus
• Investigate production issues across APIs, microservices, workflows, queues, databases and external integrations, perform root-cause analysis and implement permanent fixes
• Work with Git/GitLab, including branching, merging, cherry-picking, rebasing, conflict resolution and release/hotfix activities
• Understand and troubleshoot existing Java/Spring Boot services
• Take part in code reviews, deployments, production support and critical incident resolution
• Collaborate with DevOps, Infrastructure, QA, Integration and other teams handling Oracle structural databases
