Business Manager - Alcohol & Spirits

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Business Manager to lead our Alcohol & Spirits portfolio. The role combines sales leadership, operational oversight, and strategic planning to drive growth, improve cost efficiency, and ensure product quality across all channels.

Key responsibilities

• Support and lead sales growth, cost reduction, and quality improvement initiatives for the product range.
• Report operational and sales results to top management, providing recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Collect and analyse performance data, adjust programmes, and align actions with stakeholders.
• Define and execute the commercial and brand agenda across multiple sales channels, monitoring competitor activity and market feedback.
• Set, monitor, and achieve sales targets while ensuring accurate product delivery.
• Collaborate with group management to shape vision and develop strategic plans.
• Prepare and maintain procedures approved by the board, ensuring staff have up‑to‑date information.
• Oversee annual budgeting, operating plans, and financial performance metrics.
• Manage cash collection, minimise product expiry, and control returns and damaged goods.
• Identify and pursue new agency and supplier opportunities.
• Recruit, manage, and develop the business team in compliance with HR policies and legal regulations.
• Monitor KPIs, implement corrective actions, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing sales and commercial operations within the beverage or related sector.
• Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to present insights to senior leadership.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic plans and budgets.
• Leadership experience in building and motivating high‑performing teams.
• Knowledge of market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory requirements in the alcohol industry.
