Business Development Manager – Consulting & Training

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic Business Development Manager to drive growth in our consulting and training services. The role focuses on generating new opportunities, crafting tailored proposals, and building lasting client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and target new business opportunities across relevant industries, generating qualified leads through networking, cold outreach, events, referrals, digital channels, and partnerships.
• Prepare customized proposals, capability statements, and tender responses, collaborating with subject‑matter experts to ensure timely and compelling submissions.
• Build and maintain long‑term relationships with existing and potential clients, presenting consulting and training solutions that meet their needs.
• Conduct market and competitive analysis to uncover new service opportunities and support senior management in shaping business development strategy.
• Coordinate with internal teams (consultants, trainers, marketing, operations) to align development activities with delivery capabilities and maintain accurate records in CRM tools.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, HR, Education or related field (MBA a plus).
• Minimum 7 years of proven business development experience, preferably in consulting, training or professional services.
• Strong track record in proposal writing, RFI/RFP responses, and client negotiations.
• Excellent communication, presentation and project management abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM tools.
• Advanced use of MS Office Suite.
• Experience with digital prospecting platforms such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
